Corruption To Disrupt Development in Kenya

Kenya has undergone various socioeconomic and political metamorphosis in the last few years and with the recent general elections having culminated with the disposition of a new constitution many Kenyan believed it was time to move on from habits of the past only to be confronted by the same or more refined and sophisticated form of corruption and poor leadership.

The constitution has not been implemented in the right way and that has led to open corruption even in public places like those seen on the roads with Public Service Vehicle operators engaging with traffic police officers in the act as if they are buying and paying for regular wares from the shops.
This tendency of free corruption will certainly continue to curtail development in the country hence the often felt notion by Kenyans that people in the better side of wealth shall continue feeding from the 'fat' of the society while the downtrodden in the society will continue suffering.

Nepotism will surely reign supreme with those who are known gaining ground on their development issues and access to better services of all kinds while those who cannot afford in any way will continue suffering.

Kenyans will continue striving to perform in school work with the poor selling property to have fees but good results will not be a guarantee to better livelihood because your position will be taken by a well placed individual in the society. While it was common to take education to be an agent of equality much has gone to it that has made it a questionable agent to bridge the gab but if used well it could still help bring all Kenyan together and a common denominator towards development and a prosperous country.
